Advertising
Can you imagine this? Homes are no longer advertised therefore no homes would ever sell again! Fact is that sales would hardly change at all.
The principal reason underlying this is that people move out of need and the institution of organized real estate is there to help them. All listings (mls) are known to all
real estate agents on a given real estate board who accordingly reveal homes for sale to their buyers.
The purpose of advertising then is to capture the attention of buyers who may not be aligned with a realtor and to buyers who may buy homes with criteria other than, that
which is conveyed to their agent.
Advertising must be carefully executed in order to be effective given its limited use. In the print media, features and location promotion together with "ad placement" is
critical. More significant, with the growing number of Internet empowered consumers, it is important to have a dynamic, interactive, multi-domain web presence through which to market your listings of homes and buyers. Responding to e-mail for example
must be like answering the telephone.
Attention to these advertising criteria make the expenditure and time worthwhile and contribute to the satisfaction of buyers, sellers and …agents!
